Caring.
Connection.
Community.
Creating Landscapes for Families owes its success to the energy and investment of its members. Originally formed in 2009, Creating Landscapes for Families is growing into a vibrant and vital part of Meadville culture. We meet weekly to share, to learn, and to empower each other.
In spring and summer, Creating Landscapes for Families grows two Community Gardens in Meadville-- providing connection, nourishment, and restoration to the neighbors where they are located. We offer fun, educational programs and community-building events throughout the garden season
In fall and winter, Creating Landscapes for Families meets at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Chestnut Street for an after-school and family-dinner program. Volunteers from Allegheny College come to provide homework help for children and teens while the adults work to prepare a hearty, home-cooked meal for everyone to share.
Programs are always family friendly and FREE-- thanks to community partners, generous donations, and fundraising events. We are excited to grow our community and eager to welcome you. Please join us!
